Short version
I don't use advertising cookies, and I don't sell or share data with anyone. This site uses local storage (not a cookie, never sent to any server) to remember your profiles, your collection progress, your language choice, and your cookie-banner preference — that part is always on and isn't affected by your choice below.
The one optional thing gated by the banner is analytics: if you choose "Accept all," I load Matomo — a self-hosted, cookie-light analytics tool running on my own server (the same one that runs cyberfar.dk), not a third-party ad-tech company. It tells me things like which pages get visited and roughly how many people use the tracker. Choosing "Necessary only" skips this entirely — the tracker works exactly the same either way.
Why self-hosted, not Google Analytics
I don't trust third-party analytics platforms with visitor data, so I run my own instead of using Google Analytics or similar. Matomo doesn't sell data, doesn't share it with ad networks, and IP addresses are anonymized before anything is stored.
Clearing your data
Your browser's own settings (usually under Privacy / Site data) let you clear local storage for this site at any time. Doing so resets your language/cookie preference and — since your collection progress lives in the same storage — erases your saved profiles too. Export a profile as a text code first if you want to keep it.
