Cheat codes

"Override" is built around a hacking/rule-breaking theme this season, and Epic leaned into it with two real, official mechanics — both genuinely called "cheat codes" in different contexts. Neither of these is an exploit or an unauthorized modification.

Lobby Hacks (pre-match codes)

Entered via the Admin Panel button in the top-right of the Battle Royale lobby, before you drop in. Each code is single-use per account unless noted otherwise.

Xbox: the Admin Panel may not submit codes, and Epic says it is looking. Reports start on patch day, September 17. @FortniteStatus first answered on September 18 at 21:51 UTC (permalink): "We are currently investigating the issues affecting the Lobby hack codes on Xbox. As an alternative, if you're playing on multiple platforms, you can enter the codes on another device." On September 21 at 17:24 UTC it told a dozen people in one minute that "Xbox players might be unable to access Lobby Hacks" (permalink) and repeated the other-device workaround at 21:30 UTC (permalink). On September 22 Epic dated the fix: it "arrives in next week's v42.30 update," and all codes from the v42.20 update remain valid until the end of the Season (permalink, 16:57 UTC). Until then, enter the codes on another device. One reply under the earlier post says the workaround did not work for them either; that is one unnamed reply, so it is noted and not counted.

Ordered oldest first, by the date the code went live in-game — not the date it was added to this page. Every date below is carried by a named source, linked on the row that opens each group. Codes are single-use per account unless the row says otherwise.

What this table cannot tell you: which of these still redeem. Epic has never announced an expiry for any Lobby Hack, and no source on this site has reported one going dead. So nothing here is marked expired — not because everything still works, but because claiming either way would be inventing information. The one exception is NoProLlama, and that end date is HYPEX\u2019s rather than Epic\u2019s. The older a code is, the more likely it has quietly stopped working.

4 September 2026 Found the same day, added late: an arcade machine Missed here on the day. Backers listed the code at 06:50 UTC with no reward; RinconFortnite posted it with one at 09:31 UTC, "Turns you into an Arcade machine", and Replugs2 at 13:10 UTC, "Transforms you into an arcade machine". 8 September 2026 Posted in September, reward settled in October HYPEX posted it at 00:50 UTC on September 8, crediting @LootTrackerFN for the find, with no amount, and it waited on the Leaks page as a one-source code. Three code lists have since given the same reward and none a different one: BlkReven on October 1, in a list of codes still working on September 30; kushermac on October 3, answering someone asking for "the new code for 5000 sprite dust"; and SethCritchley the same night. None of them says they redeemed it, and none of HYPEX, Shiina, FireMonkey, FNBRintel or Epic has given the amount. HYPEX, September 8 BlkReven, October 1 kushermac, October 3 SethCritchley, October 3
DustInTheWind 5,000 Sprite Dust
12 September 2026 In the files, not switched on Shiina and FireMonkey posted it 106 seconds apart, both saying it is not activated. It is listed so you have it when Epic turns it on, not because it redeems today. Shiina, 11:31 UTC FireMonkey, 11:30 UTC
NOCTURNEOP55N1 2x Extraction Accelerators, per FireMonkey Neither source said what it gave when it was found. FireMonkey posted the reward on patch day, September 17 (x.com/FireMonkey/status/2100501513370034550) — one source for the reward, and the first word that it redeems.
14 September 2026 Posted this morning, reward from one source FireMonkey posted the code alone at 13:14 UTC; Shiina followed nine minutes later and is the only one to say what it is for: "NEW LOBBY HACK FOR EXTRACTION ACCELERATORS". Neither says whether it redeems yet, and neither says it does not, which is why it is listed as is. FireMonkey, 13:14 UTC Shiina, 13:23 UTC
BeamMeUp Extraction Accelerators, per Shiina Shiina says "for Extraction Accelerators" and no number; FireMonkey names no reward at all.
14 September 2026 Pac-Man, announced as upcoming All three of HYPEX, FireMonkey and Shiina posted it within six minutes of each other, and all three call it upcoming: it belongs to the Pac-Man collab that HYPEX and FNBRintel put in the next update. FireMonkey spells it "BLINKY INKYPINKYCLYDE" with a space; the other two do not. FireMonkey, 15:16 UTC HYPEX, 15:17 UTC Shiina, 15:22 UTC
BlinkyInkyPinkyClyde 5,000 Sprite Dust, per FireMonkey Announced as upcoming by all three sources on September 14; FireMonkey posted the reward on patch day, September 17 (x.com/FireMonkey/status/2100501643963904309) — one source for the reward, and the first word that it redeems.
17 September 2026 Shipped with the patch · v42.20 DestinyAwaits cleared the two-source bar across the patch: HYPEX named it on September 16 as the Kingdom Hearts code, FireMonkey posted the reward at 08:27 UTC on patch day. ChatFindMeAnotherCode is FireMonkey alone, at 10:12 UTC, with no reward stated; the reward here was confirmed by redeeming it. 16 September 2026 Found outside the usual five, and it redeems None of the five accounts this site sweeps posted it. @BackersGamesF found it at 15:03 UTC on September 16 ("I FOUND A NEW LOBBY HACK CODE"), and within the hour twenty-odd accounts in English, Spanish, Portuguese and Japanese carried it with the same reward. Seen redeemed on stream by HappyHappyGal. One finder, a crowd of echoes, one reward figure in every post; it was missed here for a day because the sweep only read the five, and the method now searches for codes too. PlayToLevelUp 2,000 Sprite Dust
16 September 2026 Found in an advert, and it redeems now FireMonkey, HYPEX and Shiina posted it within four minutes of each other, all three crediting @Waveish_ for spotting it, and FireMonkey saying where: "Was in a SypherPK Spectrum AD". Three named accounts, one finder — so the code is corroborated and the credit chain is not. Unlike the two above, nobody calls it upcoming: it is live. FireMonkey, 14:03 UTC HYPEX, 14:04 UTC Shiina, 14:07 UTC
SAYH12WR1X3L Wrixel's Hero Portrait Spray FireMonkey names the spray; HYPEX and Shiina say "free spray" and "free Wrixel spray". A cosmetic, not a sprite — listed because every Lobby Hack code goes here.
21 September 2026 Two on the birthday: the spray, and a Fortnitemares teaser 9YEARS is the hidden birthday code FireMonkey called "earnable VIA a Lobby Hack Cheat Code" on the 16th. The first echoes at 13:47 UTC credit @OMGitsAliA as the finder; HYPEX posted both codes with rewards at 14:01 UTC and Shiina at 14:02, so two named sources on each reward. AlmostScaringSeason is FireMonkey first, at 13:43 UTC, then again as "New Fortnitemares Cheat Code" at 13:50; the in-game text news accounts quote alongside it reads "Fortnite's 10th Fortnitemares begins in 10 days", which on September 21 is October 1. 26 September 2026 Three from the FNCS broadcast: Sprite Dust, XP and a Back Bling Shown on the FNCS Global Championship 2026 broadcast on September 26, per Fortnite Underground ("New Lobby Hacks have been revealed on the #Fortnite Global Championship 2026 broadcast"). Shiina posted all three with rewards at 17:05 UTC and HYPEX at 17:07, and the rewards are the same in every echo across four languages, so two named sources on each. One player replied at 17:10 UTC that the Back Bling code "got nothing" yet; that was three minutes after the reveal. Shiina, 17:05 UTC HYPEX, 17:07 UTC Fortnite Underground, 17:07 UTC

28 September 2026 Mastery Monday #6: four Spicy Tacos Found by @comrad3s, who replied it to FireMonkey at 13:08 UTC on Monday September 28. FN_Assist posted it with the reward at 13:34 and Fortnite.gg News at 13:35, and more than twenty echoes in seven languages all give the same reward. Several list it as part of that day’s Mastery Monday, and one says it is in the in-game news. None of HYPEX, Shiina, FireMonkey, FNBRintel or Epic has posted it. 29 September 2026 The FNAF jumpscare: a video, not an item Hidden in the glitched screens of Epic’s Fortnitemares trailer, which went up at 13:01 UTC on September 29; Blortzen spotted it there at 13:11. FNBRintel posted it at 13:11, FireMonkey and HYPEX at 13:13 and Shiina at 13:17, so four of the five inside six minutes. HYPEX had said on September 17 that a code would "play a 'Jumpscare Teaser' video when the screen turns black", and that is what it does. Nobody names an item for it. 30 September 2026 An Extraction Accelerator, the night before Fortnitemares First posted by @Link_BOTW1 at 22:06 UTC on September 30, as a reply to FireMonkey, and by Blortzen at 22:32. Replug2 gave the reward at 00:24 UTC on October 1, FN_Assist at 01:42 and Fortnite.gg News at 06:09, and every post that names a reward names the same one. None of HYPEX, Shiina, FireMonkey, FNBRintel or Epic has posted it. Blortzen, 22:32 UTC FN_Assist, 01:42 UTC Fortnite.gg News, 06:09 UTC

1 October 2026 Two lobby transformations and three quest codes, Fortnitemares launch day PumpkinSpiceLife and CrowsAreAfraid were first posted by Feco at 09:10 UTC, then given two rewards each: you, or the whole lobby. They waited on the Leaks page until we redeemed them on October 1 and each changed us. S7H-50P-R03 is a story code: FireMonkey posted it as a "Hope Story Lobby Hack" at 12:19 UTC with a video, and Backers and Krooco both say it is "Quest Locked". The quest files say what it gives: it is the "Hope's Lobby Hack" step of the Geno story, Part 2, worth 10,000 XP and one Geno quest toward the bonus goals. The files never spell the code out; FireMonkey's name for it and this being the only Hope Lobby Hack step are what tie the two together. ImTheRealEdgelord and runSystemOverride are quest codes too: tagleweb_gaming calls them "Quests giving a code" for 5,000 Sprite Dust each, and redeemed on October 1 both answered "Lobby Hack not currently available". Our own export of the quest files settles it: each is the last step of a Part 2 that unlocked on October 1, ImTheRealEdgelord for the Wrixel (Ziggy) story and runSystemOverride for the Geno story, and each quest pays 5,000 of the same item that YourThoughtsAreMine pays as Sprite Dust. 5 October 2026 Mastery Monday #7: Epic names the code itself Shiina posted it first, at 14:38 UTC, crediting @TheAgentShadow. At 16:18 UTC FireMonkey posted Epic’s own in-game text for the day’s Mastery Monday: "a new Lobby Hack: VeryScaryPumpkin unlocks 3 Junk Food Buckets". The reward column is Epic’s wording. Shiina, 14:38 UTC FireMonkey, 16:18 UTC
VeryScaryPumpkin 3 Junk Food Buckets Shiina calls the reward "3 Snack-O’-Lantern Gizmos". Whether that is the same item under another name is not explained by either.
12 October 2026 Mastery Monday #8: Epic names the code, the echoes name the reward FN_Assist posted it first, at 13:06 UTC on Monday October 12, with the reward. At 13:38 UTC FireMonkey posted Epic’s own in-game text for the day’s Mastery Monday: "a new Lobby Hack: Door2Door4Candy". This time Epic’s text gives no reward. The reward is from the echoes: Fortnite.gg News at 13:36 and about thirty accounts in six languages all say the same. FN_Assist, 13:06 UTC Fortnite.gg News, 13:36 UTC FireMonkey, 13:38 UTC
Door2Door4Candy 2x Extraction Accelerators
Date unknown Date never established These two are real and redeem, but no post from any of the five sources this site trusts ever put a date on them — they only ever turn up in third-party roundups, which copy each other. They sit at the end rather than getting a guessed date somewhere in the middle.
GatherAndCraft Cheat Master Bush Sprite Requires quest stage 9 of "Wrixel (Ziggy): Get Crafty" first — won’t redeem before that, unlike every other code here.
H0p0nVC 2,000 Sprite Dust The newest of the five 2,000-dust codes, on every roundup that lists the other four.

Codes are a rolling promo list, not a fixed set — Epic keeps adding them through the season and old ones can stop working without notice. Treat this table as current-as-of-checking, not permanent.

In-match codes

A separate mechanic from the table above: the input sequences on Cheat Code Chests, and the Override Consoles that sit beside them.

Cheat Code Chests & Override Consoles (in-match)

Cheat Code Chests replaced the old Sprite Chests this season. Interact with one and it shows a directional-input sequence — reproduce it to free a Sprite ally. Separately, Override Consoles spawn once per match: most rewrite a rule for the entire server with no location reveal at all, but 4 of the 12 have a Squad-only version that broadcasts your position as small circles on the minimap instead — a genuine risk/reward tradeoff. Full breakdown on the Override features page.

October 1: Cheat Codes have become Trick or Treat Cheats, now Epic's word. @FireMonkey posted what reads as Epic's own Fortnitemares text at 08:04 UTC on patch day (permalink): "Cheat Codes have turned into Trick or Treat Cheats. Input one and maybe you'll get an extra treat alongside your Sprite." What the treat is, and how often "maybe" is, the text does not say. Epic's v42.30 Fortnitemares notes carry the same sentence word for word, so it is Epic's now.

How each code got here

The sourcing behind the table — which codes cleared the two-source bar, which did not, and what has been announced but never actually posted. Below the codes, because almost nobody opens this page for it.

BRB, in the table above — added 2026-09-04. @FireMonkey posted it first, 00:19 UTC: "New Lobby Hack — BRB — Turns you into a toilet. Spotted by @Fecooo_" (permalink). @HYPEX corroborated eleven minutes later with the exact duration: "SECRET LOBBY HACK CODE → 'BRB' — Turns you into a toilet for 10s" (permalink). Two named sources, so it moved into the table.
INVALIDCHEAT and YourThoughtsAreMine, in the table above — added 2026-09-03. @FireMonkey first posted INVALIDCHEAT this morning with no reward stated (permalink); @HYPEX corroborated it a few hours later with the reward, 2x Cheat Code Locators (permalink). Two named sources, so it moved into the table. YourThoughtsAreMine has the same two-source bar: @HYPEX (permalink) and @FireMonkey (permalink), independently.
Unverified — one more new code, one named source. @HYPEX also posted ChatWhereDoYouFindTheKey, reward stated as 2x Extraction Accelerators (permalink). Nobody else has posted it yet, so it stays out of the table above — the same bar INVALIDCHEAT just cleared and this one hasn't yet.
Announced but not published: four more codes. FireMonkey reports that the Cheat Master X-Ray Sprite (permalink) and the Cheat Master Onigiri, Loot Hacker Jonesy and Loot Hacker Adventure Sprites (permalink) will each have a Lobby Hack code to get them free. He does not print the codes themselves, so there is nothing to add to the table yet. They land in the table above when someone posts the actual strings.
Spawning more often now (Epic, August 28). The same @FortniteStatus post that restored the Overrides on that page also confirmed: "Sprite Cheat Codes (including Epics!) are also now appearing more often" — a general spawn-rate increase across the map, with an explicit boost called out for Epic-rarity ones specifically. HYPEX corroborated this independently the same day.
Cheat Code Monday, live since August 31. A weekly event that turns the existing codes up rather than adding new ones. FireMonkey posted the event text — "Double Sprite XP, double Sprite Dust, and even more Cheat Codes have been hacked into Battle Royale!" (permalink). Shiina had it an hour earlier at 13:02 UTC (permalink) and HYPEX three minutes after him (permalink) — though HYPEX calls it Cheat Code Day, not Monday. Epic has not named it on @FortniteStatus at all, so both names are the leakers', not the game's. Epic's August 26 article promised "Mastery Mondays"; whether this is that under another name is not established.
